TomTom on win ce

Hi everyone thanks for the useful forum

I have tomtom navigator on win ce but when ever i copy over maps from my iphone it says no maps found!
I know this is most likley because they aren't compatible and after consulting this great chart I downloaded the uk and ireland 900..4610 maps as I couldnt find the uk 4679 maps

My question is how do you crack and install these maps? I have searched but much of the info is out of date

I could do with some advice too.
I have Navigo v1 v2 and v3 and all need updating
what is the latest TT navcore that these will run ? I have 7910 (9185)
What is the latest map for these, I need UK and Australia
i have
UK 830.2307
Au 860.3100

Any help much appreciated

Hi, the map you downloaded could work on WinCE but no meta code is available for it. You can use 900.4608 instead but you have to activate it. There are several tools to achieve this target and you might read here (section 3, 4) for an overview.

I always used EasyUseTools by TTuser and to summarize all you have to do is the following:
1- Download EasyUseTools (search here or get this one) and decompress it.
2- Put all your map files (and speedcam files if you want to activate them) in the insert_meta_from_Map_here folder.
3- Open DeviceID.txt file and insert the 10 digits deviceID number of your device in capital letters without spaces. You can read your deviceID by pressing the bottom right corner on the program homescreen, then press Version 7.XXX. Also you can read it by finding the ttnavigator.bif file in the root of your device and opening it in Windows notepad (look for row named DeviceUniqueID). Such file is created every time you run the TT program.
4- Now you can run RunMeforDCT.cmd and a cmd window will pop up. Select option 1 and 1 again then read the log and close the window.
5- Now your map should be activated. Go to insert_meta_from_Map_here folder and you'll see a newly created .dct (license) file between your map files. Then create a new folder in the root of your device memory, rename it like your map and copy all the files inside and you're done.

Remember that in order to activate a map you need proper meta code. The provided EasyuseTools has an updated meta.txt file in Progs folder but when a new map is released you'll need an updated meta.txt or to add meta codes to that file manually.

And no, none of the new features is available for WinCE version but in my opinion is still a good program with a better and easier way to manage custom POIs and favourites.

Hi, I don't know what kind of devices are Navigo but I suppose they are WinCE based. So TT Navigator 7.910 (9185) is the latest available.

You can update maps with the latest maps released (v900), in particular Australia 900.4600 and UK and RoI 900.4608 will fit for your devices. You can get them here.

I found my pocket pc iPaq h2200 and want to install tomtom navigator but i can't find any version for my device.
Can somebody help me ?

thanks, that works for the installation but which version of map can i install.
i tried 905.4800 but when i launch navigator it displays "card not found".
i put it on sd card and run fastactivate.

Which map do you mean ?
Are you sure there's a meta code available for that map ?
Any 905.4800 would be ok when there is a meta code

There is a file "Europe_1GB_West-746.meta" with this map.
is this file OK ?

i copied files directly to sd card without the root folder.
