Lightbulb Can I use Apple's snow leopard to update map

    Hi Everyone,

I have my TT with following software and map:

    TomTom XL IQ Routes Edition
    App 9.026.483454.1, OS 473972
    64 MB RAM
    GPS v.120, Boot 5.5136
    Map: North_America_P v840.2568

I have already downloaded the newer map but I was wondering if there are tools for Macintosh computer. I have Macbook with snow leopard but not sure if there is way to update map using OS X.

    Thanks,

    HI klazpt,

Yes, I can do all of that but what about map activation using tools?

wellllllllllllll thats a good question. And as always, a good question deserves a good answer which i don't know :-)

But... guess you can try to use one of the activators on mac. Just try, it wont hurt. Or simply get your TT already with activator in SD root (FastActivator will suit fine) + cable, get a friend's pc with windows os, and voilá.. it will take no more than 2 minutes.

Hi music5, sorry but because 99.99999 % of people in the world uses a PC, there are no Mac tools to activate your TomTom maps.
There are however many ways to run Windows on a Mac - eg. Virtualization & Automation Solutions for Desktops, Servers, Hosting, SaaS – Parallels Optimized Computing or How to Install Windows 7 on a Mac Using Boot Camp
...or better still, don't use a Mac.
