Thumbs up Tutorial : Get the latest speedcamera data without dragging and patching

just thought it might be useful for noobs and lazy people,

if you unistall tomtom home software and also delete the tomtom home files located at C:/documents and settings/(yourusername)/aplicationdata/tomtom

then when you reinstall tomtom home onto your computer its downloads and grabs the latest speed camera data that relates to the maps found on your device. (for this to work you need to have working map files on your tomtom device)

this method requires no adding to your device manually and no patching need.
(note does not work for maps)

as far as i am aware this works with all tomtom devices.
if it doesnt work for you, just ask and ill try and clear things up

    hope this helps some people.

just thought i would add that you must have your device plugged in during the re-install, that way it scans for the update.

also i can now confirm this works with altered navcores and hacked maps, even though tthome isn't patched anymore when uninstalled.

if you wish to then use your device on the "operate my device feature", you need to re-patch tthome using fastactivate or Albert's etc.

    hope that's is more useful

    (shadow020 your welcome)
