    Re: wanna buy new Device

1 , me neither , IMO there is no advantage , navcore 9.xxx runs fine on my old GO710

    2 , they are different model [ hardware ] small drive / big drive / sd-card / sim-card etc
better choose a model with sd-card , so you can use big and/or multiple maps as you please
models with only internal disk can [sometimes] be a problem to connect to PC

I found one TomTom on ebay, but the suction on the Active dock is broken. Di I actually need this active dock? What is it used for?

It's getting quite hard to find refurbished or even used tomtom GO's at decent prices. I've tried ebay, but people are asking for around £130 for a used GO 520! Is that a reasonable price, or they just going up in price due to their rarity?

There's a number of TomTom go models on ebay, you can get them from £45-£70

I've been looking at 1 or 2 for the past week, missed on on 1 by a couple of quid (top bid £61, actual cost £64)

just got a TomTom Go 710 on ebay for £40, well pleased

have now updated the above TomTom Go 710 to the latest Navcore (via TomTom Home) and got the latest maps working, well pleased

Re: best current TOMTom To buy ?

Is there any advantage in having the IQ routes feature?

I bought a used XL IQ Routes edition last year for about £60.....and only now discovered how awesome you guys are with all the hacks and mods. Really lamenting not getting one with an expandable SD slot as I'm having to juggle my maps around a bit.

If I were to flog this and get another one off the bay, is the Go 730 still the way forward? Presumably with its built in FM it has the RDS traffic update thing that's free? Storing music on it might also be useful as I can't guarantee the rental I'll be getting on my road trip will have a USB slot on its stereo.....

is there anything that can be done with the 1435 TM? I actually bought it when it was released thinking it'd be worthwhile but it's sooooooooooooo laggy and slow
