Does this actually work in Windows 8? Drag and drop into the script windows has absolutely no effect on my Windows 8 Pro PC, even with the script running in admin mode.
Did you test this with Windows 8? On my Win 8 Pro PC, the drag and drop part of the scripts just has no effect at all, ie. no file or folder is processed. This is with the script running in admin mode.
No need to run in Admin mode to use those two scripts.
They have only been tested with Windows 7.
When you start only the script (double left clic), you should have a black DOS windows and an other windows containing HELP about using the script.
To use the scripts, select .ov2 files and DRAG&DROP over the script filename.
MANDATORY: script filename and ".ov2" files must be in your computer and not in your smartphone.
Scripts are stored in "Scripts (version 2)" directory (look at ".rar" file downloaded). If you just have "Scripts" directory, scripts are not the last. Download them HERE (no password).
You can try this by editing the script:
Goto lines 22-26 (or 26-29, depending of the used script) and delete :
for /f "tokens=3" %%i in ('reg query "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\International" ^| findstr "sLanguage"') do (

I have tried following the procedure step by step on my HTC One SV but nothing happend. The POI allerts do not work.
I do not know what else I can do.
It's very important to use this tutorial on a fresh installation of TOMTOM. If TOMTOM is already installed, clean DATAS of TOMTOM Application in ANDROID Parameters.
1/ Remove all "default.*" files and all files corresponding to the radars files (.OGG, OV2, .INF, .BMP). Make a "clear Data" of the application, and then make a new activation of your radars. Verify and be carefull for tutorial 6), 8) and 9) paragraphs.
2/ There's only one alert sound possible. It's 3 louds beeps corresponding to the "default.ogg" file delivered in the "New default files" directory of the package "GPU - Kit Tomtom v1.3 Android with POI's alerts.rar". You can change the content of this file by any sound alert you like. But keep always "default.ogg" name.
Remark: I found a way to use distincts sounds alerts for each POI file I have. In a few days, I will post a new fresh and simpliest tutorial.
First of all, thanks for this great tutorial.
Everything is working with me.
I would like to change the default.ogg sound to a sound i used to use on an old tomtom pna, but i dont have the original file.
Can anyone please upload the default .ogg sounds of tomtom please?
