Tom Tom Navigator and WinCE 6.0

Hello,

I've recently got a Chinese GPS that has WinCE6.0 on it. They upgraded the software since the last one.
I had TT7 working fine on WinCE 5 but I can't seem to get it going with 6.0
I get this error

Unable to Start
No enough memory is available

Its a 64mb, the hardware should be fine to run it. I've read other forums where people have had trouble, but I can't seem to find a workable solution. IGO8 works fine on it, but i really want to get tomtom working. If this has been discussed and solved, could you please post a link? I've tried searching here for 30 mins but can't find any discussion on this specific issue.

I have succeeded to install TT7 on PNA with Wince 6.0 (Apical,128M Ram) after i tried to start TT7 hundreds of times with different.

This is the only one get my PNA working perfectly.

Some advise to you.

1. The most inportant is to modifiy the script correctly to copy the Mappsetting which come from same version of map and contained a planned A-to-B route.
Each time when you start TT7, your last saved mapsetting will be overwriten by this one.

2.Make sure the map you are using is compatiable with PNA with TT7.45

3. use TT7keygenerate to crack your map for wince 6.0 device, but TT8 keygenerate for your Wince 5.0 device. I found this when i was using TT7.9 installed on Wince 5.o Emulator to get the mappsetting file.

4. there is a place to specify the programme memory for TT7 in the script. Try different value to match your device. When you start TT7 from the GPS interface (NOt Wince 6 directly), you have to decrease the value if you got "Not enough memory .....". That's because the GPS interface application is trying to allocate memory for itself. (I am just guessing)

hi, could you please tell me how to install tomtom nav 7 and maps..
i have tryed every thing and i still cant do it. i have a china double din head unit and its
wince 6. i have managed to install tomtom nav 6 and it works fine but its not up to date.
i downloaded tomtom nav 7 and put the files on a micro sd card and put it in the head unit, it loads up tomtom nav 7 but says no maps found. i have tryed soo many things and now i need expert help.

i have deleted all the tomtom files and maps as i think they did not match, so could you please tell me where to get the right tomtom nav 7 and the right map to go with it, i would like UK & Irland or Westen Europe.

also a step by step guide were every thing goes on the SD card.

You have the same problem with WinCE 4.2 device
Try these versions of the TomTom 7910
They also have functions that can run on WinCE 6.0 device and Chinese.
But not work on everyone!

hi thanks for your reply... but tomtom navigator loads up and then its just a blue screen saying no maps found. i think its somthing to do with the map im using, maybe not right one for tomtom nav 7? or im not cracking it right or not in the right place on the sd card?.

Inside the TomTom folder, you have a file Note_prj.dll ?

inside the root of SD you need:

1. TomTom Folder
2. Map folder

hi, thankyou very much for your help but iv managed to install tomtom nav 7 and maps but now i get message saying ''not enough memory'' this is really winding me up lol.. shull i just follow your guide from scratch or is there a easy fix for my problem?

You must follow the 3ad I've indicated.......put the file Mapsettings.cfg in to Mappa TT and Mapsetting Folders.
follow the instructions, well read the posts otherwise continue to ask questions!
