TomTom 7.9 (WinCe) +Start-up images

Hi there
I have been looking around, but i can not find any answers to my problem.
I have Dynavn carunit with TomTom 7.9 (WinCe).

I would really like to change the start-up image, and also the shyt-down image if it is possible. But i don't know how to do it. I have search several sites here on the net, with no answer.

The problem is, i don't know where to put the image, i can not find the right folder to put it in.

You can see the map and folder structure on the list below...

I hope anyone can help me out here.

I thing the procedure is same as original TT GPS. (If there is no pictures, sorry, my mistake)

I dont remember right now the name of the STARTUP picture, but I know that the SHUTDOWN picture is named antithef.bmp... the easiest way to help you: replace the original antithef.bmp with another picture using the same name (backup the original one first) and same resolution (480x272 or 320x240).

you should do the same with the startup picture when finding its name.

The startup filename is splash.bmp or splashw.bmp. The closing screen is suspend.bmp or suspendw.bmp. The antitheft.bmp or antitheftw.bmp is for if you have reminder set for not leaving tomtom in vehicle and lowbattery.bmp or lowbatteryw.bmp is when your battery is low and closing is imminent. Just as you can have certain screens for certain items, you can also have certain voices set for these too.

First of all you must instal PE Explorer (google knows it). Step1: Open PE Explorer application and click on Open file, go to tomtom folder/navigator and select TomTom Navigator Application -it's a good ideea to make o copy of it before to change it, if you want to restore it back later. Step 2: From the midle of the taskbar, click on Resource Viewer/Edit button (is like an coloured diamond). Step 3: On the left side, expand Bitmap and double click Bmp, a new window will be opened -upside tomtom image will be displayed and downside will be nothing. Click Open source file and select the desired image - note that the image should be in bmp format and according to your device display rezolution (240x320; 320x240;800x400, etc.) - both images will be displayed. Press OK and save it; when you press the exit button you will be ask to save again. It's ok to replace the old TomTom Navigator Application. Good luck and excuse for my english.

Thanks worked like a charm
I had a small 240x320 image when TomTom booted up on my 7" WinCE GPS which looked crappy
I changed it to a 800x480 image that filled the screen and modified it for my car (an XR6 Ford falcon)
Looks fantastic.
