Re: What is TMC Pro?
TMC PRO isn't only for Navteq, TMC PRO is consortium of one set of TMC services, it seems you didn't understand TMC PRO, even after reading suggested link
! So TT can use TMC PRO too when pays to NQ, probably they pay to NQ for using their TMC service !
The advantage of Navteq Traffic (incl. TMC Pro) is that reports of traffic jams are received faster and with greater detail. Navteq Traffic uses the data from the TMCpro consortium. This is:
- 4,000 data sensors on motorway bridges
- 5,500 sensor loops which are integrated into the carriageway
- 10,000 cars which have floating car data technology
- Traffic data from 16 regional reporting stations belonging to the police and regulatory authorities in Germany
The fully automatic processing means that information is available much faster and is more up-to-date with this system. The TMCpro data is broadcast via independent radio stations, among other media.

Re: What is TMC Pro?
Thank you for your answer.
The reason I think it´s weird is, that TomTom doesn´t mention TMCpro on their website ...
