Thank you lemonfish, you have been a great help to myself and many others. I did get Loquendo working eventually. I overwrote the "Loquendo" folder (that tomtom home installed) and "Voices" folder with my backed-up folders. Having searched around a bit on gpsunderground I believe that there was probably a "file conflict" creating this problem. 18.5 Mb free on my 2007 ONE XLS...not too shabby. XLS is a bit unique, but an excellent piece of hardware. Thanks again.
There is a Navecore-version 9.450 for 32mb-devices on other forums!
Is this a better/more actual choice for my TomTom One V2?
Okay, so thank you very, very much foir your help!
In addition, i have some questions:
1.) What does the "SE" in the Navecore 9.170 means?
2.) So i can also use the Navecore 9.160, because of the 3,5"-Display of my TomTom One V2! Is there a better Diplay-solution because of the "only 3,5"-support, or what is the difference?
3.) What is a "swap"-file?
4.) In the Navecore-Version 9.450, i often read something about an emulation! What does this means?
5.) What ist the best Bootloader for my device?
Why i can't edit my previous post(s)?
If "Loquendo computer voice" doesn't work on your (32mb-)TomTom, just copy the "LoquendoTTS"-folder from the Navcore 9.450 for 32mb-devices (discussed above) to the internal storage-/storage-card-root, where the " Navcores 9.061 & 9.170 for 32Mb ONE models [by mark cat]" is already installed!
After that, check the voice-setting-menu of your TomTom and have fun!
1) SE navcores are basically hacked versions of the official navcores by "TTuser". They allow extra features on devices that normally don't have these features.
2) Yes, you can try either navcore. The main difference between the two navcores is the 9.170 has 2 panels instead of 3.
3) Do you mean switchfiles? Using switchfiles, you can modify the look and feel of your TomTom. Certain features can also be turned on or off.
4) Emulation refers to the look and features. Changing emulation changes both. Not every emulation is compatible with every model.
5) Best to leave the bootloader as is, unless it's under 5.5015. Bootloader versions 5.5128 and 5.5136 are common for upgraded ONE models.

Okay, and what does "SE" stand for? Only by TTuser?

No, "swap"-file, like SirfStar says about!
"SE" stands for Special Edition.
I have a question regarding features of Navcore 9.170
Can you still use custom splash screens for startup and shutdown and custom sounds for startup and shutdown?
Also can the Navcore use icons for the car symbol instead of the default "arrow"
Lastly on my TT One V2 using Nacore 8.417 I can have a warning sound before I come to a POI. This is most useful
for alerting to speed cameras.
Thanks in advance for anyone who can answer
