Nav3 Navcore 10 and above PATCH. NOT SUCCESSFUL ATTEMPTS ?

What's the state of the art about patching navcore 10 and above. I can't believe that TT was able to find out an unpatchable way to protect is tools. From what I've seen on internet it looks so. Maybe someone can redirect me where is the most updated discussion ? I understood the protection work through internet . Isn't it ? Thanks for suggestions

In the old days, we paid many hundreds of Euros for our GPS devices and didn't get much in the way of value add from the map service we received so I'm all for updating my ageing devices with the latest maps and navcore features. I feel that the 700 Euros I spent on a Go 700 was a very high price and that Tom Tom have had some good revenue from me.
They have also had revenue from my iOS Europe purchase, my iPhone car kit, my Tom Tom XXL and traffic.
But 8 years on from the Go 700 and with the way Google, Android and iOS have moved into the market, Tom Tom is a company that's fighting to survive.
As a direct result of the competition you can buy the hardware and latest map for less than 100 euros today so perhaps it's time to let Tom Tom claw their way back into the market and keep afloat. Otherwise we will all suffer with a ceased map service.
So, by all means, buy navcore 10+ devices but lets keep them legitimate and remember that Tom Tom are even good to offer lifetime map updates on some of their products so thanks Tom Tom.
That way, we keep our map updates for our older devices and once our older devices finally die on us, go for the latest Tom Tom product with lifetime map updates.

I suppose, according to your reply, you work for TT or similar. Anyway 100€ for a map update it is very expensive ... and not acceptable ... Thanks again for your reply. it doesn't lokoks TT give upadate free for old users anyway ! And once you got 1 map, you generate all the other. And probably they all come from teleatlas data that provide all GPS producers with data map ...

I see ... compliments to TomTom !!! They got the ball ! 2yrs and 6mths I read ... it's a record !Do you know how TT has been successful for so long time ?
I read somewhere about internet IP ...

I suppose also old Navcores before 10 were based on Linux too ...
But this seems different . i can't believe that thousand Linux lovers didn't analyse it ... but it seems like that !
I will wait ... son or later someone could be able to ...

Probably not so difficult, but the crackers who can do this hasn´t either been interested or contacted ......
