I have upgraded my 720 to navcore 9205 with a 865.3245 map and all appears fine except for an error message when TomTom Home opens, see below. Any help to fix this would be great.
ERROR: 573/#https://home.tomtom.com/account/setDevice: Error from server: You have an invalid version of the TomTom application installed on your TomTom device. To use HOME you need to install the correct version of the TomTom application.
You have an invalid version of the TomTom application installed on your TomTom device. To use HOME you need to install the correct version of the TomTom application.
Error code: 573
Debug info from server: InvalidModelOrNavcoreException %3A The combination of model and navcore version provided is not supported
You have to trick the Home so that recognize you your device, but depends on the author (TTuster, X_ or DSA) Navcore that you have installed is in one way or another
Tell us where you've downloaded the Navcore and will help you
To fix this we connect the device to the PC and enter inside.
Locate the ttgo.bif file and create a copy of the, changing the name for ttgo.bak.
Or stay a file as ttgo.bif and the other as ttgo.bak.
Now open the archio ttgo.bak with Notepad and see in lines ApplicationVersionVersionNumber and ApplicationVersion version of the navcore we have installed.
The solution is to change these two lines by the latest official version that TomTom has drawn to our device
In his case is a GO 720 has to put the version 8351.9982
In the ttgo.bak we have open change lines ApplicationVersionVersionNumber and ApplicationVersion for these numbers and we give to save.
This is how it must be now if: ApplicationVersionVersionNumber = 8351
ApplicationVersion = 9982
Now disconnect the PC and reboot the device and switched on once again it to connect to the PC.
If we enter inside to see that we have created another file called ttgo.ori.
If we open we will see that we have all the real data from the device, let us say that this would be the new ttgo.bif.
If we open the ttgo.bif to see that us has modifcado lines ApplicationVersionVersionNumber and ApplicationVersion with the numbers that had gotten into the ttgo.bak.
This is normal because now when connected to the Home this reading these numbers and therefore no longer we give about this application is not valid and we will let you update us. IMPORTANT
Every time you change any voice, home address or map, you must delete the file ttgo.bif, ttgo.ori and ttgo.bak, then restart and let the device back to generate an updated ttgo.bif and to re-create the process.
When I reconnect to home a second time the Home error reappeared, checking the ttgo.bif file it had changed back, yes I had saved the file after the change. Is there a way of locking
so they dont change?
Also on reboot of device I am not getting a ttgo.ori file just a ttgo.bif
Well as it does not create the file .ori you have to make your
Again copy the ttgo.bif file, but you save it as ttgo.ori
Then you have to edditar the three files and modify lines
