Hi Guys,
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but never taken the risk of upgrading my NavCore .... but always liked the thoughts of the additional tweaks and glitz on the v9 series.

Anyhows, I run my GO730 with standard v8.45 on 865 UK maps with patched ttsystem files.
If I downloaded bmwdrivers copy of his sdcard from post #1, could I just ....

1) Save and delete all the base NavCore files from my TT
2) Paste all of the files from bmwdrivers sdcard download onto my sdcard along with my existing 865 maps
3) copy my own ttgo.bif file back onto the card in the root folder

Anything else i'd need to do ?
Would I need to repatch the maps or the ttsystem ?

You are welcome.

Just delete anything from your "old" sdcard, but
- the map folder
- ttgo.bif

Copy all files from my backup onto your sdcard.
Thats it. No patching. No configuring.

Getting the option to play instructions thru FM, is that part of the navcore or a tweak that you did. If so, which tweak is it? I thought v8 navcore was the last to have it. Many thanks.

Hi all, hi bmwdriver+,

I'm a long user of this forum to get the latest maps, but my GO920 Gps is get older every day. I never paid attention to SE Navcore, and tonight I read this topic.
To sum up, getting the v9 navcore offers a new User Interface, am I wrong ? Does it worth it ?
Bmwdriver+ often say that we have to use its files on a Sdcard. Is there a particular reason for this ? Sdcard go faster than internal TT memory ?

Using this navcore :
--> Will the bootloader of my tomtom be upgraded ? (I read that it could brick my device)
--> Will I have to get other maps than those I got for my official patched navcore ?

My last question : can I roll-back everything if I restore my current backup ?
