Stand alone GPS fix

There was in the past a standalone programme which would update the sat positions without having to connect to Home. I cannot remember the name of it and I have lost it as my PC is new. Anyone remember what it was called and could point me to a download? Thank you.

The program is called "SiRFStarIII-QuickGPSFix.exe". Don't know where to find it. Just Google.

These files are dated 11/1/2103 , which is about ninety one years into the future!

just noticed the date changes each time you d/load them. Curious.

How do these work, as surely it needs to be up to date data in order for them to calculate fix? Do these need to be downloaded weekly?
