Thanks to ??? for this which is based on the good old Easytools

Help.txt incl:-
How to create meta (blowfish) codes

you have to be the original owner of the map.

1. Plug your tomtom device with USB to the computer

2. copy RunMeforCode.exe to your TomTom device map/voice directory or run it directly from desktop

3. Run RunMeforCode.exe

4. Done... meta.txt created in map/voice directory

5. Copy/paste contents of this meta.txt to share with others here:- tomtom-maps

This tool based to TTuser Easytools

remember... meta data not contain any personal information from you or your device. It is safe to share

Tried is on Western_Europe-562 (Western_Europe_890_4222) but for some reason it doesn't create any meta.txt.
Any idea what that might be?

The only map I can see with a meta is 890_4238 so you won't be able to create a meta for 4222 as yet...and not looking good for any others either

The only map I can see with a meta is 890_4238 so you won't be able to create a meta for 4222 as yet...and not looking good for any others either

iafilius, it sounds like you're trying to extract the meta out of a map you have downloaded from here. That won't work! It has to be a genuine map that YOU have purchased.

tenorman, read the first post. "You have to be the original owner of the map" to use this tool. Whether or not the meta code is available for other maps such as 890_4222 is irrelevant.

same here... After official update from W_and_C_Europe_2GB-452 880.3810 to W_and_C_Europe_2GB-562 890.4222 and following steps in help for RunMeForCode, no meta.txt generated... Might be reason that map isnt in internal flash but on sd card? App detects internal tt drive, but no sd card, I tried to enter both drive letters but no success :-(
