Thank you very much!
Thank you very much!
Probably jumping the gun a bit here, but just downloaded the new release of North America 850-2782 and tried to use the EasyActivator 5 to generate Meta.txt.
Get to step 4 and it browses for the latest Meta txt, finds it and tells me it's placed it in the working directory.
Try to generate the .dct file in Step 5 and it comes up "can't open meta txt file. File in use or not present."
Is this because the file is so new that nobody has got a meta.txt file for it?
I also tried Easy Tools and it didn't like that either.
Thanks for all the great work anyway you guys. It is VERY MUCH appreciated.

Biggest lie in the inernet: I searched but did not find.
Found it, thanks jarkita.
This is the first time I've tried uploading new maps this way and I wanted to do it without bothering anybody. I've had so many windows open from this forum today, I obviously missed the first one when I downloaded the link to the actual maps. What a muppet.
It works fine and when I hooked it back up to the computer to back the new files up, TomTom home opened and told me that I couldn't use the "manage my go" because the maps were not recognised. I asume that this is because I used an SE navcore and not a TomTom original, am I correct?
The crazy thing is that it still updated the map share and now shows up to date. Can't quite work that one out.
Would I be able to use the TomTom navcore with the new NA 850-2782 maps and the meta.txt or do I have to stick with the SE version? Not that not being able to use the "manage my go" feature on TomTom home bothers me in the slightest.
Thanks again all.
great work tkx 4 the efort !
Hi there, I'm running Windows Vista and I can't get Albert's easy activator to work.
I get always the following error :
Run-time error '339':
Component 'RICHTX32.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid
It runs fine on my PC at work (Windows XP) but now I'm at home and want to install a map. ;-(
Anyone a clue?
Thanks.
Downgrade your home PC to Windows XP or upgrade to Win 7 and run this in compatibility mode.
No one likes Vista![]()
