Sound Problem - Navigator Chinese Double Din Unit

    Hi,

I have a double din chinese unit, which happily runs IGO8.

I managed to find an pre-installed 7.91 navigator, and have got the unit working with the 865 maps (1Gb Euro version).

Only problem is the direction announcements are all wrong, the unit starts to announce some like "after 200 yards turn left" which would be followed shortly afterward with "turn left". But instead it says "After" then no sound, then at the end of the road you get the "turn left".

It seems the unit is playing the "after" word/sound file then not completing the sentence.

Anyone know what is up with it ?

I have tried loading on new voices, but same problem.

I have tried V7 and now V865 maps, again same problem.

    Cheers

    HI,
I also bought one chineese car GPS system with windows CE 6.0 and 128 MB RAM. It runs iPrimo 1.2 nicely. However, I couldn't run tomtom software on it. Would you please share your 7.91 navigator, which is working nice with you? I want to trun Australia map 865. Thanks advance...

    TomTom Audio Fix.rar

Try the attached . Place in the directory you have tomtom installed. Run the attached file to start tomtom with voice problem fixed

Thanks Popper114, I will give that a try.

I don't suppose you have another fix for the time zone ?, its always 7 hours out. If I run Igo8 and set the timezone then rerun tomtom its fine until I switch it off.

    Thanks again.

Small problem, the audio fix requires .net framework, my unit doesn't allow the (or I can't find how to access wince directly) modding of the wince installation, I am limited to running programs by setting them as the nav program within the setup menu (which only allows .exe programs not .msi packages).

Is there a shell program I can run to access wince ?

I have the same problem on my wince 5.0 in my car.

Do i need to copy the file "TomTom Audio Fix.exe" to the sd card (because "tomtom navigator.exe" is in the root of the sd card) and bring the sd card to the car and start the fixer in WinCE 5.0 in my car?

    Can somebody help?
