I am trying to update my Prius 2008, Gen 5 dvd nav system.

I downloaded the torrents 9.1 version from 4 diff sources and everytime I launch ANY kind of writing software it gives me an error that the iso files are write protected. I am so frustrated. Please help.

So after doing a bunch of research online it looks like the reason I cannot burn the dvd is because I cannot change the booktype on my dvd player.

I have a slimtype anyone know what my options are? I know there are bitsetting firwares but I can't seem to find it for my slimtype.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I can guarantee you that not one single slimline burner can write a proper navigation DVD
So do not bother to try

I've tried the 9.1 on three different burners using Verbatim blanks, I set the booktype to dvd-rom but it didn't work in my 2007 Prius. I did pull the dome fuse while loading a new disc. On all occasions I used nero. I don't know if that makes any difference.
I am downloading the 10.1 right now and hoping that it will work.

I couldn't find Slimtype in the link you provided. Does it also go by other brands? I was really hoping to get this nav ddvd written and now because I can't change the booktype this is driving me crazy!

AFAIK Slimtype isn't manufacturer brand but name of formfactor. First check how detect this burner any from used burning software.

Another thing is that the unit is typed as SLIMLINE not slimtype
