Not, I have not proved it, but in two toyota with E12 modified to e10, need to do it if not it does not recognize maps.
Because of it I propose that lse does
It of 15 min is for that just what is late in disburdening the whole electrical system (condensers, relays, etc ...) this way it does reset the system and on having put the disc loads the new system.

It is for trying, I am not sure.
But I do not have these GPS

If indeed you want to force a downgrade to E10 it is advised to disconnect the unit from power for at least 15 minutes
