If you have back camera and dynaudio installed, this will be removed after update and then you need to have vag-com to reinstall

I got 4120 working on a RNS 510 B version H11 (build feb 2009)



-After the update to 4120 your rns will be in factory settings, including the long coding, so you will need vag com to recode your RNS
-Hdd music and personal POI was formated, maps was still on it
-All presets on the radio memory were erased

The installation of this FW made some trouble on my RNS:
SWL error, if I tried to install from a CD-R. In a German forum some further people report the same problem.
Solution: Burn the FW on a DVD.
With this FW my RNS starts up much faster than with FW 4020 or 3980. My RNS is a C8 sample.
BTW: I was surprised, that a factory CD doesn't format the entire HDD.

Note: VCDS is required to encode the RNS after the update.

I have to burn it on a DVD too. (a CD-r make an error)
I have to recode the RNS, for the format the POI and radio memory are format but not the Music and map.

The coding is delete. The RNS use the original coding 0000..00000
You have to re-code with VCDS

Hi


i have a problem with installing FW 4120 on a C6 LED Unit,FW before is 4020.

Update goes up and finished HDD,than Radio up to 56%,then breaking up,cd comes out,"Error Description"


i testet fw on a cd and a dvd

On C10 Units i can install the 4120 with this CD or DVD perfectly without problems.


anyone has a solution ????
