RNS 510 firmware 5218

up to 5xxx softwares are for DAB+-Units. You can use also the 4020 modified or 4120 modified for your Unit. By the way if you use the 5218 and you had old 003 Radio board, your radio board will be half damaged and you get no more sound!
Maybe it works on standards. but when no coding is done other devices will not work or work properly leik RFC and so on. So coding is needed to work properly.

I update an F unit, from oct 2011 to 5218 and now no POI apear, i try 3 different version of maps, 7894, 7896, 7920, all 3 works on 4020.

How safe it's to downgrade to 4020 ? last time when i try do do this i bricked an H unit , from 5218 to 4120 , black screen apear, after checking enable downgrade

Also media player from Blue tooth meniu not apear in the IC menu, with H versiion works.

Use map 7918 without manipulated POIBase and all will be good!

indeed, with 7919 , POI appear on screen with 5218 firmware, but no Speedcams and Traffic Lights included.

i just extract and update from SD card POI with Speedcams and TrafficLights from 7921 and put it in my F unit, software 5218, CD_7919, POI apear, but no Speedcams and TrafficLights..

In PoInspector apear both.

Is there any posibilities to downgrade unit from 5218 back to 3890 or 1100 ?
I got C4 unit with 5218 software crashed.
When i try to downgrade 1100 or any version it stop on HOST update and give error.

for me, also CD_7921 not work with POI from 7919..

the only combination when POI works is CD_7919, but in 7921 are more streets in my area.

can someone put the POI corrected/updated that works with 7921 in 5218 firmware?

@mark21: I think you're not right about the streets in your area, because the basic of the 7921 is the 7918. Only the pois are included in 7921. All streets and the coverage ist the same as 7919
