VW RNS510 Western Europe V.9 (7918)

Hi,

I downloaded the file, burned it with IMGBurn onto a Verbatim DVD+R DL.
When I insert the DVD into the RNS510 it just loads the map, it does not ask me if I want to install into the hard drive.
I dont know the exact version of my firmware (Dont have access to the secret menu), but I know it is pretty low/old - could this be the cause of the problem?

Yes work on all Firmwares.
Have no personal pois, only the vw standard pois, but you can use personal poi on SD Card to import into the system

Hello. I need some help. I would have started a new topic, but this board doesn't allow me to until I have created 10 reply posts (seems a little backwards to me)

Anyway, I downloaded and burnt this, and it loaded into my car fine (VW Toureg with RNS-510) but now I have no roads on my screen. Its like the area I am in (Oxfordshire) is not included.

I don't know what version of RNS-510 I have, I can take a photo but not sure that helps. How can I find out what firmware I am running? I don't really want to take it out to find out model numbers, etc. Is this the only way?

Should I download some older maps and try them?

Any advice gratefully received.

Normally this map works with all firmwares available on the RNS510. Propably its not correct installed on HDD. To see which firmware you have installaed and which model it is without take out the device (Its really very easy on Touareg to take it out) you must activate the hidden menue. This can be done by the vw dealer with his VAS-PC Diagnostic Interface ore by a user with VCDS.
