Download all, extract only from part1, will take all other parts in automatic, at the end will have 1 file named CD_7920.ISO
Open this file with ImgBurn and burn with slow speed(as much as your burner can do)
Attention - don't create a DVD with the CD_7920.ISO file inside (as a normal data DVD)

Booktype setting to DVD-ROM, read on the ImgBurn forum how to sett Booktype.

I also had the same problem with my first disk but I just burned the DVD again using IMGBurn and it worked second time around.

Re: VW RNS510 Western Europe V.9 (7920) with SpeedCams

...didn't work for me. I get a CD/DVD error when inserting the DVD into RNS510. I will retry with another DVD, this time is the first time i used a different brand.
Anyone else with DVD errors ??? Try to find out if the DVD is faulty or there is an error with the maps or iso file..

(Believe me, i did not make any mistake creating the DL DVD. Burned V6, V7, V8 on the same workstation with same software, same DVD brand and book-type patched burner, everything worked perfect in the past), so i'm pretty sure it's either an DVD issue or MAP/ISO issue.

Have you been able to set the book-type to "dvd-rom" ? This was the clue for me in the past, when the copy process stopped when almost finished. You might need to patch the firmware of your burner to preconfigure the book type to dvd-rom.

Use a Verbatim DVD-R or +R DL DVD. This does the job for me.

Re: VW RNS510 Western Europe V.9 (7920) with SpeedCams

I've detected, dependently from the installed firmware the Laser unit is very sensitive of reading DVD. I think the best DVD-Model to use is Verbatim. I've tested with a couple of DVD's from other brands. One RNS read the DVD another doesn't read the DVD. But Verbatim in most cases can be read from the most of units. In one unit i must make a firmware downgrade to install the map. After installing i've upgraded the firmware again.

Re: VW RNS510 Western Europe V.9 (7920) with SpeedCams

    Hi friends,

I'm exactly in the same problem.

LG burner, Verbatim DVD-R DL burned in 2x
    Booktype DVD-ROM with imgburn

    Try with 5 DVD...

Sometimes DVD is directly ejected, sometimes, it goes to 75% and I get cd error.
    It is ramdom...

    I think jomafi is right.

    I just upgraded my firmware to 3980 (RNS 510 C HW 41)

In the past, I had no pb with V7 and V8 on DVD-R

But I think this firmware is more sensitive.
For example when I'm driving, I get error quickly.

When car is halted, I get error later.

CD, DVD video, DVD firmware are read perfectly.

maybe it is a protection used to limit map piracy by setting reading of DVD-R DL more sensitive..

jomafi, please, can you say me wich firmware did you dongraded to succeed.

    thanks

    Bal.

Re: VW RNS510 Western Europe V.9 (7920) with SpeedCams

    Hi,

i've downgraded to Josis 3810_noru (because the normal 3810 doesn't work on my c4a-devices). After updating the map i update the firmware again to 5230. All works fine. Now i've tested the following situation. All DVD/CD-Types will read perfect, only MAP-DVD has this issues. At least i burned the v9 WE with Nero Burning ROM v11 as Image with 4x speed on Verbatim DVD+R DL. The advantage of Nero in this case is the automatically setting of Booksize to DVD-ROM. And what should i say? There are absolutely no problems to install the map in this f*ucking device without downgrading the firmware Another test with burned v9 on Verbatim with IMGBURN doesn't work, means there are errors on DVD. This DVD works in another RNS510 like a charm, without showing any problems. This is the only thing i can say as solution for this problem, i think the problemes come from combination of DVD, Burner and Burning Software.

Use any DVD DL with Ritek dye. Ive burned loads using IMG Burn and never had any problems. Use the slowest speed you can and you wont have any problems.
