Do you think we'll see rns510 with speedcam alerts working?
I was expecting to see it when 4xxx firmware appeared and i was expecting to see it on 5xxx. If i remember well i've seen everywhere the poi db had speedcams fields in it.
So, what do you think? Does anyone have some kind of information about this?

RNS510 is supported and installed in VW Cars until 2018!!! Speedcam alerts are not supported in the past and will not be supported in future. There is no plan from VW in this direction. In most countrys displaying of speedcams is forbidden.
Do you think that is the only reason? Developers could call it "poi alert". Are tomtoms forbidden in this countries?Originally Posted by jomafi

This is nothing about Volkswagen or Tomtom or Navigon. If the display and use of speedcam warnings is forbidden it is forbidden for all devices,e.g. switzerland or germany also.
What I mean is that VW doesn't have to do "speedcam alerts". The navigator could have the option to alert to any kind of POI. It would be up to you to use it in order to get speedcams alerts. Do you think this is forbidden in these countries?
Tomtom lets you do this. That's why I asked if tomtom is forbidden in these countries.
