Hello everybody, I downloaded VIM_Berto89.Iso and made a succesful flash from what I noticed, but no video in motion worked and neither did the radio after the update. So my question is, are there any fix for this? /Regards.

Fix is to go back to original Firmware which works and test if radio works. After this you can use VIM again. Normally there are no problems with VIM

Means, You need VCSD device to recode Your RNS - all previous sets will be erased.

The correct tool is VCDS. And yes the complete Coding will be erased after flashing. So take a look to the coding before flashing and write down the settings.

Is there any issue with install the EU firmware on a north american unit?

Since so many of the latest firmwares do an erase of the RNS510 settings , it might be a good idea to add a (link to a) tutorial on which settings in which menu(s) to backup .

Is there an explenation as to why the settings get erased btw ? Or is this a nasty side-effect of these not so official firmwares .
