    Help with a Phaeton year 2008...

    What type of navi installed in this car? This is a picture of the model of this car: 2008.



    What type of DVD map I have to swrach for? Is a MFD2 system? If yes, can I unlock it with unlock cd for use backup?

    You could find all the information you need on the various VW Forums
    The system is called RNS810 and is almost identical to the RNS510
    It uses the same DVD-s
    All questions should be directed through the forum

    That unit is the Infotainment system.

    Wrong. RNS810 is on Phaeton 2009-2010 and looks like this:

    I stand corrected!

    The Infotainment system is made by Aisin and is a direct family member if not twin of the Audi MMI system
    It uses the exactly same DVD's as the RNS-E with 2 DVD's covering Europe (€ 399 each)

    try with vdo cds, it worked for me. I put cd which im using in bmw x5 2002 and it worked

    are you sure your phaeton is 2008 with dvd navigation?
    i know that phaeton 2002-2007 with cd navigation use the vdo cds.

    The Infotainmaint system was only fitted in 2008 models and works with DVD's

    Hi, my father has the same car and hence satnav system and it uses CD'S not DVD'S. VDO Dayton will work just fine

    gazo this is VDO Dayton system!!! CD working in phaeton manufactured this year!!!
