How high can I take them all? I have seen V11 maps is out, but not sure if it's still in beta or how high I can go with FW? Want to update the FW first as high as I can then latest maps! Much appreciate the help as always chaps!
It doesn't matter which Navigation version you have, you can simply install the latest which is V11 on your device. If you upgrade your firmware, your Navigation will still work, because you can upload it to your HD. For the firmware, you can use FW5238 which is been modified by Josi, ive installed it yesterday on my own RNS510 and it went OK.
hi guys. i have this kind of navi and i need a update that can permit to install v.11 maps and a full screen rvc. can u help? sorry to post here but i cant start any thread

Hi, I have same almost question.
my device info:
HW-version : H06
SW.version : 3970
Active map covera... : West Europa
Active map supplie... : Naviteq
Map version HDD : 7551
Is this FW5238, which is been modified by Jos, compatible with my device? I have also rear parking camera. Do I need to recode after this, if this is compatible. And I also want to add Eastern Europe maps.
if you don't know what the firmware does, why do you want to update?
VW maps are always clean. if you want speedcams, you can install them via SD card. if they'd be integrated with the maps, you couldn't update them without updating the whole maps partition, which would be stupid.
firmware 5238, maps v12, no recoding.
newest maps always work with every firmware.
you can install the unmodified 5269, which is the latest official update for your device.
but Josi's modified versions 5238 and 5274 are also compatible. i would install 5274. no recoding with these firmwares required.
you can always use the newest maps, which as of this november is V12.
you can only install east OR west, not both at the same time. just install one and use the other from DVD.
