Try another brand of CD media
The writing of these cd's is so simple that any blank cd should lead to an acceptable result. The navigation is absolutely not critical
Just select the ccd file and burn as data cd no problem at all

ORIGINAL POST:
Before the forum was hacked, there was a thread that had the cd's for Volvo RTI Europe 2007. I got them all, but I'm having problem getting them to work. So I need to know if somebody else who downloaded them, also got them to work and how (step-by-step dummies guide would help).
I think it was confirmed in the thread that the images were ripped with CloneCd. Tried burning with CloneCd, but the cd player in the car only shows an error with the cd.
So what software should I use? CloneCd, nero, etc
Burn as data cd, game cd, audio cd, etc?
BTW. Car is a Volvo S80 2001, and Volvo's NAVTEQ site for S80 2001 has same part number as the old thread did.
Parts of the old thread on google.

Hey,
can anyone post links to this maps? I need it for my Volvo S80 2001year. If not, I can copy VOLVO RTI CD Maps but from 2004year. I have 21 original CD's with europe maps.
But I'll be really happy if anyone have maps from 2007 or even newer than it.
Is avaible map of Poland?
I am interested also on this cds can anyone post these maps, thanks.
Thanks for info. It's sad but now I know that I need to change my car : )
Sorry for late reply, I have been busy and didn't get new CD-R's (different brand) until today. Still doesn't work.
I just noticed that the system in the car says HU-601, while the rar files says "VOLVOHU1205"... So I guess that's my problem. Can anyone confirm/deny?
Or it might be my burner. In CloneCD I select a write speed of 1x (176kByte/s), but during burning I get a speed of 1838kByte/s which is a write speed of 10.5x.
The HU 601 is just the car radio not a navigation
Have you used this unit for navigation before?
This unit does not seem to be a navigation

It's my dads car. Bought used a couple of months ago. The navigaton works in southern Norway, but not in middle Norway and north because it doesn't have the maps. So I was asked to update it (used Volvo's Navteq site (see #1 post) to find information), and landed on this site (and just assumed it would work because of part number). End backstory.
The controlling of the navigation is from a controller/buttons on the steering wheel, not the unit(Radio/CD) you picture.
Some pictures:
Back/Enter buttons for navigation (placed on steering wheel)
Buttons for moving around (placed on steering wheel)
Startup window for navigation
Radio/CD, navigation and dashboard
Navigation zoomed out, no map information
Navigation, no map information
Pictures got a bit big, so I directlink them instead of messing up the thread.

But you say that you used the CD in the HU601 unit which is the CD player
There is a separate Navigation CD unit or sometimes even CD- changer in the trunk of the car
