Anyone with recent navore updates and maps cracked from here or any other site do not update via tomtom home, gps correction update, or navcore update will render your maps unusable. You have been warned. Get poi etc all day long even map share corrections but not updates. updates

OK = So when did this start as I updated my UK map with the gps correction update 3 days ago with no apparent problems. I think we need more specific information and further confimation of this report and if it is completely correct it should be at the top of the list as a Sticky.
Sorry to be not convinced as yet.

Navcore .. of course, because you'll need to crack it again.

GPS corrections ... what a load of crap.

What Paul means is, do not accept the "TOMTOM APPLICATION" when it is offered as an update. Tomtom will offer this when you have not properly protected your Navcore SE with a version.txt file.

Inside the Readmenot file there are instructions on what to place inside the version.txt file. It is a representation of the last known good version by Tomtom for your version.

Exemple: You connect a Go 700 to TTHome, it will look in your ttgo.bif file if Navcore 7.903.9183 is installed. If you are running 8.562 SE, TTHome will offer you the unpatched 7.903 as "Tomtom Application", thus rendering your Tomtom unable to read your maps again.
However when you create a file version.txt in the root of your Tomtom with in this case
            A:7903
            B:9183

These values will be written inside your ttgo.bif file and the dreaded Application update will not be given. (Still, if it is offered, you are free to refuse it, only it is easy to miss).

All other updates (mapshare, voices, map colours, car art) are safe.

Even if update somehow gets in, it should not be a problem to fix for someone who already did crack on his device ...

Edit: Have now included a warning notice in "patching" tutorial.
