  • One IQ Route 140S TTS problem!

    Jarkita, thanks for your information. I have tried the installation steps as suggested from the link provided:

    - Make a full backup right from my TomTom One IQ Route 140S device (i:\) to my PC folder (TomTom_H_BackupOnMay30_2010)
    - Patch navcore ('ttsystem', mine is v9.026) using Easyusetools ('RunMe.bat' -> call several programs including 'patchydg.exe')
    with 2 output files: 'ttsystem.old' and 'ttsystem' (patched)
    - Copy output 'ttsystem' to i:\
    - Test original map with patched navcore (v9.026) and it works Ok!!
    - Remove original map (in this case 'USA_Canada_and_Mexico_P') from my TT device folder and extract downloaded map to device (i:\Thailand)
    - Run keygen using 'tt7_metacheck.exe i:\Thailand', 'tt8_keygen2.exe i:\Thailand "AKxxxAxxxx" 8', and 'tt8_mapcheck.exe i:\Thailand 8'
    all returned with message Ok!!
    - Unplug TT device and reboot device, here the result -> 'Problem with map__ You cannot use this map with this device: Thailand-56', then
    a Loop: asking for 'Select the Map' and 'Done'
    - All I can do from now on is just 'TURN OFF'!!!

    I am now trying to restore all the backup to TT device (but the device seems running slow at this time), hopefully I can make TT device working again.

    Could you please help me out? Did I do anything wrong above? Or I have to get back to use older navcore version in order to use this map? (I followed
    the link but could not find prepatched navcore from the forum!) Or I have to download another map other than 830.2332 as you suggested? (Map vs.
    Navcore matching chart from the forum makes me kinda confused.)

    Following previous reply, I have successfully restored all backup from PC folder to my TT device (by removing everything first) and my TT One 140S seems to be working fine except the TTS (Text-To-Speech), i.e. Dave Computer Voices, is not working. All I can hear is just Turn-by-Turn of recorded voices. It used to happen once and I just tried 'Change Preferences' -> 'Reset Factory Settings' but this time it does not work. How can you help me out with this?

    Either navcore and/or or map isn't patched ... do you have .dct file for new map in mapfolder?

      Yes, I am certain I did patch the map because there was 'Thailand-56.meta.dct' in i:\Thailand folder on my TT device.
