My missus just brought me a tomtom XXL and im very happy with it, the navcore updated via tomtom home as soon as i connected it, and ive also got a free map update due to a cockup at tomtoms end

Just wondering how out of date the navcore and maps are atm

number as follows

Nav core: 9.051

Europe 2gb: 845.2702


EDIT: im not going to touch the tomtom for a few months as ive got a 3 month free for speed cameras and fuel prices

When the replacement 850 map is available, I would get it as your free map update will run out before version 855 comes along

Most of them are released already. But not the bigger Europe maps (and those are exactly the ones you want, I think). So you have to wait until these maps are released. You can check this yourself at:

As you can see, there's still the v8.45 map instead of the v8.50 one. When the v8.50 map is released, I'd wait another couple of days before using your free map update (just to be sure all TT's map servers are updated).
