Be more specific, pls ... At least two reasons: not patched navcore and/or map. http://gpsunderground.com/forum/show...sking-for-help

No support over PM - check Tomtom Tutorials Section and ask within forums.

            Has anyone loaded these Maps?

Do they include English 'Pinyin' style Road Names?

            Please let me know,

I've tried to load 850.24 maps with NavCor version 9.101 on Taiwan model TomTom XL to check with no success.

              Actually,
you couldn't buy Taiwan Map on TomTom Home because you need a Chinese (Asia?) version of novcore which including Chinese keyboard & display.

We can use Chinese pinyin to input simplified Chinese (for name your poi only)
but couldn't use it for poi or address search as all road names on Taiwan Map are in Traditional Chinese.
(you could try handwriting input if you are not familiar with Taiwanese Phonetic input )

If you wanna use novcore 9, you must find a version which from Taiwan model.
or you need to find a way to grap Chinese input from other version.

                Thanks for the nfo Han

I can't read or write Chinese. Only speaking.

So I was looking for English Pinyin maps and input style.

                i.e input destination= ZhongXiao Rd. Sec. 3 #168

or search for Roosevelt Rd. and Keelung Rd. intersection.

Garmin has it, Just wondering if TomTom had the same

The TomTom was free so it's all good.

                  Re: [Taiwan][850.024/25]

                  Yap,

The biggist problem is we doesn't like SG or HK have official English spelling system.
According to political conflect, only a few city ex.Taipei City try to convert road signs to "han yu pin yin"
Therefore sometimes even on the same road but you see different spelling on different signs.
That might be a difficulty to develop English GPS Map.

As I think, it might be some ways to trial Garmin.... just like TomTom.
