  • What are the mechanics ?

So, we download maps, meta key, use a keygen, but can someone explain (or post a link) what are the mechanics behind all that ? I guess it's some kind of encryption but how does it work ? What is the mathematical theory ?

    Thanks for your explanations.

    Zartha

So, nobody on this board can explain how it works nor is interested as I am about it ?

Indeed I am not too interested in the backgrounds, but you can have a read here
    Code:

    and here
    Code:

for more details on the encryption (Blowfish) and the OpenTom project.

Unless you are conversant in compiling Linux, this is it in simple terms:
What you have is a mini Linux computer which boots up from your Bootloader file like a PC Bios.
It then goes on to load an operating system known in tomtom terms as a Navcore.
Once booted the Navcore sources your location with the aid of the built in GPS receiver.
This in turn displays your position on a map. ... Simples
