  • best device for tomtom truck ?

    hi all,
i am a uk trucker, i have one of those suppose to be **** hot snooper truck sat navs, trust me it aint.
i want to go back to tomtom as i have it on my mobile and have been using it since version 3.75
this time i am going to use tomtom truck as i am now a class one trucker and really need tomtom trucks features, my question is wich is the best and most compatible newest tomtom unit to buy, iether new, refurb or second hand, the 530, 730 and one xl look to me like contenders but what about newer units (not bothered by live series), i am just guessing, but what do gprunderground members and moderators think is the best ! please dont suggest ideas if you have not done one youself as i dont want to go by if's and maybe's
thanks in advance for any advice.

From my experience, the bes units are:
        GOx20 series (520,720,920)
        GOx30 series (530, 730, 930)
And, I know it from trusted source, GOx40 series. I will test it for a week, I just bougt one.

Truck navcore is dedicated for GO7000, GOx20 and GOx30 and working at this units without any problems, just need patched ttsystem file.
        regards.

Re: best device for tomtom truck ?

                        hi,
anyone following this thread should have a quick look at this link re tomtom truck software on sd card,
                        Code:
                        http://www.totalpda.co.uk/TomTom/TomTom-Truck-Navigation-Software.8205.html
surely all we need is a complete untouched image so we can transfer it on to a spare sd card or micro sd, it does say it will work and update any go x20 / x30 unit.
if an image of this is already here on gpsu, then i havnt found it yet.

                            hi jarkita,
i know what umean about free stuff, but what i meant was a colmplete iso image of the sd card or rar image not bits of it scattered here and there all over the forums even though they are important in there own right, if i do get an image i will definitly share it.
i was working at a major uk distribution campany today, (eddy s) and half of the drivers were european probably polish and couldnt understant what was being said by the office clerk

Edit: if they cannot understand english then how can they drive 44ton trucks on our roads, only hope they are gpsu members with all the sat nav toolery they need, its quite worrying really, still , thanks for all the input and help you are giving jarkita, its much appreciated.

What about indian, pakistanian drivers with british passports and very poor english? R they OK 4 U?
R U international driver? If yes, how can U drive 44 ton truck on european roads? Do U speak french, german, spanish, etc?

major road regulations r the same in all europe... so, what the problem?
and... good proffesional driver can drive any kind of truck in any country in hte world

end of racism, back to topic.

                              regards.
