I'm affraid you mean a device which need an update via MyDrive, one of the latest models ?

Yes, its new device with MyDrive. Everything works except connect to PC: So I wanna try update firmware "manually" which "maybe" can help restore USB communication with PC. I tried last days save downloaded navcore to SD card, but problem is when I insert SD to navi, then navi first need to format SD card to own structure, so delete all data on SD. And when card is formated, then I cant save on card anything in PC - PC say that card is full... Its sad for me - navigation with lifetime maps, but mass storage not working then cant do any update...

Sadly there's NOTHING you can do with this without connecting to the TT server using MyDriveConnect
You could try uninstalling & reinstalling MDC direct from TT themselves https://uk.support.tomtom.com/app/an...2428/related/1

          Steve,

pe1agp is correct...you cannot do anything with the newer TomTom models outside of the MyDrive software as the device cannot be accessed via PC

Your PC uses a different file structure to the device so you're wasting your time I'm afraid...read this:

If you have a problem with your device, you need to contact TomTom direct

Yes, thats all I know. It was only light on tunnels end :-) I knew from Garmin thats Garmins can be updated from SD card no problem, so wanna tried some way in TT but yes, not possible. Unit is 3 months after warranty end, so TT only offered me buy a new with 15% discount, so nonsense. OK thanx all for support :-)

Well that's a generous offer from the TomTom Company, but at least twice a week I've the same offer in my mailbox.
I don't know how long they guarantee your device, 3 months is not realy much, so you have to complane once more I think.
Biggerdave his option is maybe till so far the cheapest option ?
