  • Mio C310x. Main WinCE files access.

I got my hands on a copy of iGo from a good friend of mine back in Utah. So now, I need a bit of help getting it installed. Ok, so I have the main files, ok, so now I have to move the files into the flash, to do so I have to edit some of WinCE's files so it knows what to boot to. However, I can't modify the file that contains the settings on where the Nav software is. Ok, so I got the file onto a SD card and managed to edit it. YEEEES! No. I can't move the file back now, apparently the WinCE files are on the ROM, and you can't write into that without special software. Well, I was wondering if you had any methods to help. Thanks in advance.

Do you have any reason why you would like to access and modify your existing C310x config?

Why not make it easy and simple for yourself.
    Get yourself a 2GB or better yet a 4GB non-HC SD card.
Put together SD simple unlock and IGO8 or IGO Primo in the SD Card.
Pop in SD card into Mio C310x and you're gonna love your Mio like you never did before.

    Good Luck.

I have searched for a 4 gig non-HC SD card, but I was not able to locate. Will a SDHC work?

I unlocked my Mio C310 and popped in an SD card with IGO8 on it, but I can't get it to boot from the SD card. Can you please explain in detail the procedure for opening IGO8 from the SD card, since flash memory is insufficient for installing IGOd on the unit itself?

Make sure that your device has the correct path to the program on the SD card.
